The Internet Archive crawls the public internet to collect and archive web pages. Over the years it has created a permanent digital library. Anyone with internet access can perform a search of its content. When you enter a website URL, IA returns what it has found for that site.
The result shown on the left is the result for CBC.ca/news. The blue dots are captures that are complete and successful, they usually give you the fully archived page. The green dots indicate the crawler was redirected to another location such as a temporary page or new page.
It’s curious that on May 17, 2025 green dots virtually disappeared.

From February 26 to March 9, 2025, Liberal Party members voted on a successor for Justin Trudeau. Mark Carney, who has never held a seat in the House of Commons and has never been elected, won the ranked-choice voting election with over 85% of the first-preference vote.
On April 28, 2025 the Liberal Party won the election. As leader, Mark Carney became Prime Minister. Did something happen?
